Rodrigo Nieto, the councilor for Senior Citizens, Family, and Social Services, has confirmed that the Magdalena Health Center in Valladolid will open in mid-March, while also criticizing the «crude» behavior of the Socialist Municipal Group on this issue.
This statement comes in response to the comments made by the socialists, who were demanding the immediate opening of the Health Center «after 25 years of waiting,» claiming it to be a «negligence and poor management by the Popular Party» at the regional level.
Nieto explained that, «unfortunately,» these construction works «have been delayed a bit more during the last few periods due to reasons completely unrelated to the Castilla y León Regional Government and the City Council,» such as the withdrawal by the awarded company.
Furthermore, he stated that the Socialist Municipal Group «instead of being happy about such positive news, uses the opening of the new health center to completely twist it and criticize, even demanding an apology for something that is already underway.»
«An inconsistency and a lack of common sense that clearly shows the constant misdeeds by the opposition spokesperson, who focuses solely on destroying instead of lending a hand and contributing,» Rodrigo Nieto concluded.
