The formation of the Nuria storm in the vicinity of the western Iberian Peninsula will condition the meteorological situation in the coming days, leaving significant and widespread rainfall that will affect the entire territory of Castilla y León, especially in mountain areas of the Central System.
This storm will remain very active until Sunday, after which it is expected that the adverse weather phenomena associated with it will diminish. The rainfall will be initially widespread, locally strong, and occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms, although the highest precipitation accumulations will occur in the Central and Iberian Systems, where between 50 and 100 mm may be recorded before Sunday.
The rain will contribute to accelerating the melting of the snowpack present in mountain areas, so it is recommended to increase surveillance of rivers and watercourses due to a possible increase in flow.
