The former Councilor of Festivals of Bobadilla del Campo (Valladolid), Inés María F.S, now has a new conviction to add to her criminal record, in this latest case for the theft of a perfume in a ‘Vallsur’ establishment in the capital of Pisuerga, as reported to Europa Press by sources close to the case.
In this current procedure, the sentence issued by the Penal Court 3, pronounced ‘in voce’ by the judge after the agreement reached between the Prosecutor and the defense of Inés and the man accompanying her in the dock, David S.M, determines to convict the former as the author of a minor theft offense with a fine of 1,440 euros, and her companion, for a theft offense, to six months of prison which will not be served because it has been suspended for a period of three years, during which the convicted individual cannot commit further offenses and must perform community service.
As for the proven facts, they date back to April 13, 2023, when, around 3:00 p.m., the accused went to the ‘Druni’ establishment, located in the ‘Vallsur’ shopping center in Valladolid, where they took a perfume brand Love Me Silver EP 90 Tous, which has a sale value of 62.95 euros, while she distracted the employee and he took the opportunity to hide the bottle among his clothes. Subsequently, they both left the premises without paying for the perfume.
It is noteworthy that David S.M. has numerous criminal records for theft offenses, with a total of four between 2021 and 2022, which, combined with the latest one, amount to over 400 euros in terms of the value of the stolen items, while the former Councilor of Bobadilla has two convictions for fraud totaling four years and nine months of imprisonment, and another one, dated September 8, 2022, for theft of objects.
SCAMS AGAINST A COUSIN AND A FRIEND
One of the convictions received by the former councilor, of two and a half years in prison, was for deceiving a cousin of hers to whom she offered mediation to obtain a lottery administration in Medina del Campo and from whom she obtained, without performing any management, nearly 10,000 euros, while the other conviction, consisting of two years and three months of deprivation of liberty, was for keeping the money that an intimate friend had been depositing into an account of the convicted person, believing it belonged to the State Tax Agency and that it would clear the charges on the apartment she intended to sell.
Also, Inés María’s parents have had legal issues. Coincidentally, six days after the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León ratified the conviction of their daughter, the Court of Valladolid placed on trial on January 31, 2024, the parents of the former councilor, Francisco Javier F.S–who was also a councilor in Bobadilla–and María Jesús C.M, for falsifying Covid certificates to make it appear they were positive in order to avoid being evicted by the owner of the property where they lived.
However, the trial did not take place as the accused ultimately agreed to a sentence of two years in prison and a fine of 1,080 euros as co-authors of two counts of falsifying documents in conjunction with two counts of procedural fraud, in which the mitigating factor of partial reparation of the damage was present–they had paid 300 euros as compensation–and the also present mitigating factor of undue delays.
