Martín Sánchez has been declared the winner of the International Short Story Contest organized by the Valladolid law firm Tresierra and Associates, awarding the winner a cash prize of 300 euros, an incentive aimed at recognizing and celebrating literary talent and the «unique approach of the participants in addressing the proposed theme.»
This literary event aims to «highlight the impact and work of lawyers in various fields,» according to sources from the organization who informed Europa Press after the award ceremony held this afternoon at the firm’s headquarters in Valladolid, with the participation of around thirty guests. Manuel Lanuza Vicente received the second prize, which consisted of a painting by the artist Tino Cacho.
The literary competition was open to writers of all ages and nationalities and serves as «a platform for participants to demonstrate their creativity and narrative skills.»
Participants were required to submit an unpublished and original story that had not been awarded in other competitions. The main theme was ‘Lawyer, I Need Your Help,’ inviting participants to explore stories that reflect the role of lawyers from a creative and human perspective.
The story had to be between two and five pages long in DIN A4 format, double-spaced, and in Arial font size 12. Stories in any language were accepted, but those not in Spanish had to include an official translation into Spanish.
A specialized jury was responsible for evaluating each story based on various criteria, such as fidelity to the proposed theme, originality, content in values, narrative style, and linguistic correctness.
