El análisis mensual realizado por el Observatorio Turístico de Valladolid, basado en datos del INE y de la patronal de apartamentos (AVAT-CEOE Valladolid), confirma el buen comienzo del año 2025 en el turismo local.
En enero de 2025, tanto el número de viajeros como las pernoctaciones han aumentado en comparación con el mismo mes de 2024, destacando el incremento en apartamentos turísticos y hoteles de Valladolid, que han experimentado un aumento del 2,81% en las pernoctaciones. Esto convierte a enero de 2025 en el mejor inicio de año desde 2019 para los hoteles locales, con un crecimiento significativo en las pernoctaciones de visitantes extranjeros.
Estos datos positivos, junto con la reducción temporal de plazas hoteleras debido a trabajos de reforma y el aumento en la rentabilidad de los establecimientos, con un incremento en la tarifa media diaria y en el ingreso por habitación disponible, reflejan un año prometedor en el sector turístico de Valladolid.
En cuanto a los apartamentos turísticos reglados, que han aumentado en número en comparación con el año anterior, también han experimentado un notable crecimiento en viajeros y pernoctaciones. Aunque esta opción de alojamiento es elegida por un porcentaje menor de visitantes, muestra mejoras en rentabilidad con tarifas medias más altas en todos los segmentos.
Las estimaciones del Observatorio de Turismo de Valladolid, en comparación con otros destinos regionales y nacionales, indican que la estancia media en hoteles de Valladolid en enero fue superior a la de los principales destinos competidores regionales y a la mayoría de los destinos nacionales estudiados, siendo el segundo destino regional con más pernoctaciones después de la capital salmantina.

The city of Valladolid is once again showing positive data at the beginning of the 2025 tourist season, in terms of visitor numbers, overnight stays, and profitability of establishments.
The monthly analysis carried out by the Valladolid Tourism Observatory, based on data from the INE and the apartment association (AVAT-CEOE Valladolid), confirms the positive start to the year 2025 in the local tourism sector.
In January 2025, both travelers and overnight stays increased compared to the same month in 2024, especially in tourist apartments but also in Valladolid hotels, which saw a 2.81% increase in overnight stays. This makes January 2025 the best start to the year for local hotels since 2019, with a significant growth in overnight stays by foreign visitors.
These data, pointing towards a positive year ahead, are even more significant when considering two key factors: the temporary reduction in hotel capacity due to renovation works in various establishments, which does not seem to have a negative impact on the total number of customers served, and the significant increase in profitability parameters, with a 9.3% increase in the average daily rate (ADR) (up to €71.66) and a 9.6% increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR) (up to €37.08), both compared to January 2024.
In the field of regulated tourist apartments, whose number has increased compared to a year ago, there has been a notable growth in this period, with increases of over 30% in travelers and 12% in overnight stays compared to 2024 data. However, this accommodation option is still chosen by a much smaller percentage of travelers, around 13% of those who visited Valladolid in January. Tourist apartments also show improved profitability, with higher average rates in all segments.
The estimates made by the Valladolid Tourism Observatory, under the Tourism, Events, and City Brand Department of the City Council, by analyzing data from various sources, include comparisons with other regional and national inland destinations, determining that in January the average stay in Valladolid hotels (1.9 nights per traveler) was higher than in the main regional competing destinations and most of the national destinations studied, being the second regional destination with the highest number of overnight stays only behind the city of Salamanca.
