In total, over 400 people, including children and monitors, spent the night in municipal pavilions in Villarcayo and Espinosa de los Monteros.
The Civil Guard participated in this operation, requesting collaboration to evacuate two youth camps at 7:45 pm due to adverse weather conditions. From that moment on, evacuations were coordinated from the Emergency Coordination Center of the Junta de Castilla y León. The Civil Protection group from Arija and the Emergency Logistic Support Unit (UALE) of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Agency were activated, deploying two vehicles with shelter material, beds, and sleeping bags.
As a result, the camp activities were suspended, and it is expected that the young people will return home throughout the morning.
